Statement – The Arab Struggle Movement for Liberation of Alahwaz (ASMLA) condemns the execution of its Commander Habib Asyud (Chaab)
The Arab Struggle Movement for Liberation of Alahwaz (ASMLA) mourns the martyrdom of one of its brave leaders, Commander Habib Asyud Al-Ka’abi (Chaab), who was executed by the Iranian occupation forces on May 6th, 2023. Our heroic leader has now ascended to the highest rank, among the martyrs, the righteous, and the prophets. Commander Habib Asyud (Chaab) spent his life defending the rights of his Arab Ahwazi people and fighting for their sovereignty over their land.
This cowardly and criminal act committed by the Iranian authorities against Habib Asyud is a flagrant violation of basic human rights, international laws, and conventions. It is evidence of the brutality of the Iranian regime and its mistreatment of the Arabs in the occupied Alahwaz.
ASMLA considers this heinous crime as evidence of the cruelty and corruption that characterizes the rule of the Iranian government in Tehran. The Movement condemns this act in the strongest terms and calls on human rights organizations and the international community to take immediate action to stop these serious human rights violations in Alahwaz. The Iranian prisons are still full of Arab political prisoners who are at risk of execution.
ASMLA reaffirms its belief that this heinous crime will only increase its determination and resolve to continue its struggle for the liberation of Alahwaz and the restoration of its sovereignty over its land.
We also hold the relevant authorities in Sweden responsible for their failure to protect their citizen, Mr. Habib Asyud (Chaab), who needed their support and protection in the face of the terrorism represented by the Iranian mullahs. Unfortunately, the Swedish government’s negligence and silence have led to the execution of Habib Asyud by the Iranian occupation authorities.
We call on Sweden and the entire international community to fulfill their responsibilities in preserving human rights and defending citizens who face threats and persecution from oppressive regimes.
Finally, ASMLA confirms its steadfast commitment to the struggle for the liberation of Alahwaz, the establishment of an independent Arab state with sovereignty, and the restoration of dignity to the Arab people in our beloved land.
